I have blogged a couple of trials of a 20-to-1 (water/Dawn Pro/PEO) solution that has been very poppy. Given last night's finding that the HEC-solution with baking soda/citric acid performed very differently from the solution without the baking soda/citric acid, I decided to add a pinch of baking soda and citric acid to the small amount o fhte 20-to-1 solution (.008% PEO supplied by a J-Lube solution of 0.79% PEO).

The humidity was a paltry 38%. The solution did really well. I was able to easily pull 10 to 15 foot tubes in my side yard (10 or 15 feet is about the maximum that I can do in that space). The bubbles weren't terribly long-lasting but much longer lasting than in all previous sessions and I didn't have trouble with premature breakage. I was using Dip Stix.

I'll need to brew up another batch with and without the baking soda/citric acid for confirmation of the result.

ADDENDUM: The next day I mixed up a new batch and tested it and the mix with baking soda/citric acid performed far better than any 20-to-1 PEO-based solution so far. I will be posting video in another blog entry soon.
